French Polynesia is the Eden of which everyone dreams. Pictures have been taken in late 1995. The lagoon of Bora Bora was still a virgin and immaculate land of coral sand. Tahiti, Moorea, Huahine, all these distant territories are reminiscent of a world of sweetness and wonder.

The senses in ecstasy, we sail on an ocean of happiness, far from the everyday life, we inhale the heady fragrance emanating from the forests of the Pacific. A perfume of vanilla comes from the islands Sous-le-Vent ; we can see the Mount Otemanu crowned by a cloud. A young girl reaches out to the sky to capture the unreal, while birds approach our boat looking for food.

The water is so limpid that you can see the thin sand moving on the ocean floor. We finally approach the Hana Iti, a hotel that was one of the most beautiful and natural hotel in this world. Joel Vogt brings it to posterity in a wondrous panorama: the clouds and the sky try to steal the show to a shining sun, but the ocean declares its love to the sun. The latter caresses it with its warm glow. Smiling and looking towards the sky, we straighten the bar to go to lagoon. Polynesians are warm and hospitable people: they are the real Pearl of the Islands. Hand on heart they let us admire the beauty of their environment. The coconut trees are numerous on the pictures and the photographer composes with the landscape to insert a tangle of roots on this heavenly background.
