Black and white photo; Oscar Wilde at Père Lachaise.

Here again the subject of this gallery - cenotaphs of famous artists - is only a pretext to the composition, to the work on the framework and to the framing in photography; tombs emerge in the white background as a whole...
The pictured graves of artists are those of Charles Baudelaire, Hector Berlioz, Oscar Wilde, Guillaume Apollinaire, Serge Gainsbourg, Allan Kardec. The rock is draped in a white shroud, heavenly light and mark of the time. The frame is perfect; it highlights the history of these famous artists who have made their footprint on the common heritage.

Work of composition, attention to details and photographs still in Black and White, with a dominance of milky and immaculate white. Cenotaphs and other mausoleums reflect the glow of dawn; they stand out in contrast in some unlikely corners. Joel Vogt plays with the images as he plays with edges and contours.

There are flowers on these tombs in memory of those who gave us culture and art: Charles Baudelaire, Hector Berlioz, Oscar Wilde, Guillaume Apollinaire, Serge Gainsbourg. All have gained their place in the memory of men. An intruder, Allan Kardec, mystic and spiritualist, passed from life to death, threw himself into the unknown and dragged us with him.

The photographer gives us a moment of reflection; one minute of waiting to let us look behind and enjoy the legacy of these artists. Joel Vogt offers us the White in its entire splendor and writes in Black stories and myths. He offers us a timeless and delicate gallery out of time. He celebrates the art. The artist offers us exceptional prints, canvases of Père Lachaise cemetery, of Montparnasse, from Clichy to Paris in unique formats 120X150cm/170X220cm.
