Joel Vogt réalise ses photographies à main levée, à la recherche de beautés quotidiennes, il capte l'éphémère sans user d'un quelconque artifice, qu'il soit visuel ou technique. The artist loves the lights; he travels all around the world to capture the essence of what it makes it unique. Joel Vogt is a sensitive observer; he composes the image and manages to capture the propinquity, the rare and the running moment. To him, only the moment of the shoot counts.
Joel Vogt takes unbiased pictures, he looks for daily beauties; he captures the ephemeral without using any artifice, and of course he doesn’t use for that any visual or technical retouching. Each work is the most often made in his photographic room for a fantastic result and large format pictures.

Large Format Linhof and 4X5 inch triX Kodak film plan are mixed with advanced technology to digitize the pictures using an Imacon Flextight 646 scanner. The portraits made in Large Format 4X5 Inch are then engraved on the mythic Polaroid film 55. This film gives definitely incomparable, sublime pictures...
